Ruby’s Inn Annual Winter Festival Returns For More Winter Competition and Adventure

Winterfest, Bryce Canyon’s favorite winter tradition

BRYCE CANYON CITY, Utah (January 22, 2021) — Are you in need of a weekend retreat? Ruby’s Inn is still ready to bring you their favorite winter tradition, the annual Winter Festival . Grab your coat, skis, snowshoes and ice skates to experience a winter wonderland of activities between February 13-15 beginning each day at 8 a.m.

For over 35 years, Ruby’s Inn has been making their Winter Festival a weekend of tradition, family and, of course, winter activities and adventure. Whether you’re watching or participating, you’ll be thrilled by the winter bliss of Ruby’s Inn. Luckily, Ruby’s Inn provides activities for those who want to stay bundled up inside with a cup of hot cocoa or the thrill-seeker who is willing to brave the cold.  No matter the age, or temperature you prefer, there is something for everyone to enjoy at the Ruby’s Inn Winter Festival.

This year’s festival includes the following activities:

  • Ice Skating
  • Cross Country Skiing
  • Snow Shoeing
  • Skiing Clinic
  • Kayaking in heated pool
  • Yoga and High Fitness
  • Photography Classes
  • Ski archery and 10K races
  • Bryce Canyon National Park Activities
  • Kid Crafts

“The Winter Festival is a long-time family tradition here at Ruby’s Inn,” says Lance Syrett, hotel general manager, “Although this past year has brought changes, we are committed to still making the festival an adventure-filled weekend with the necessary precautions in place.” Lance goes on to say, “Typically, we have everyone gather in the lobby to sign up for the activities. This year, in order to limit large crowds, we have created online signups on our website that go live on Friday night. This will also make it so guests can sign up for activities earlier than years past.”

Ruby’s Inn is keeping their hotels safe, with all employees and guests wearing masks, along with posted reminders to stay 6-feet away from those not in your party.

Trent Day, a guest at Ruby’s Inn during the 2019 Winterfest described his entertaining visit, “Ruby’s Inn was a very pleasant experience. We stayed there during the Bryce Canyon Winter festival. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.” He goes on to say, “They provided several activities for the winter festival – this included crafts for the kids, snowshoeing/ hiking, archery, fat bike activities, kayaking lessons, pottery classes, line dancing, etc. Nearly all of the classes and activities were free.”

Be sure to check each day’s schedule on Ruby’s Inn’s website. It is required that you sign up before arriving at the activity. All events are free unless otherwise stated. Although there is a limited amount of snow this year, it won’t have an impact on the majority of the activities as there is only a small handful of events that are weather permitting. Once again check out Ruby’s Inn’s website for event updates.
