As winter weather transforms Bryce Canyon’s red rock landscape, park facilities and concession services will close in observance of holidays and to permit seasonal maintenance.
The entrance to the park remains open year round, permitting visitors to utilize campgrounds, trails, and overlooks. However, the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center and Natural History Association Gift Shop, which are open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, will close on both December 25th and January 1st in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays.
Visitor services at the Bryce Canyon Lodge, General Store, Canyon Trail Rides, and Western Cabins are closed for the season. The Sunset Motel and Valhalla Pizzeria remain open. Both facilities will close for maintenance from January 9th to the 27th, after which they will resume operations. Rooms at the Sunset Motel can currently be booked for a reduced winter rate by calling Forever Resorts at (435) 834-8700 or visiting www.brycecanyonforever.com. Valhalla offers a limited menu and coffee options from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily.
Come enjoy the solitude and splendor of winter in Bryce Canyon National Park. The reopening of closed facilities and extended hours will coincide with the start of spring season on April 1st, 2017.
