Our family recently returned from an incredible long weekend at Ruby’s Inn near Bryce Canyon National Park, and we’re already dreaming of a return trip! We planned our trip around the Bryce Canyon Winter Fest 2025, arriving Saturday afternoon and staying until Monday. The festival was the perfect way to experience the magic of Bryce Canyon National Park with even more family fun at Ruby’s Inn.

Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon in winter is simply breathtaking. The iconic hoodoos, dusted with snow, looked like a scene from a fairytale. We spent our days exploring the park, taking in the panoramic vistas, and enjoying the feeling of having the place almost to ourselves. The quiet beauty of the park in winter is truly special.
Ruby’s Inn was the ideal base for our adventures. Its proximity to the park made popping in and out a breeze, and the amenities, combined with the ongoing festival, made this family getaway perfect.Â

Ruby’s Inn
We started each morning with some fun on the ice rink. The kids always enjoyed popping into the pool to warm up in Ruby’s Inn’s heated pool after our days in the snow. There was a good variety of dining options in Bryce Canyon City, Panguitch, and Tropic to keep us energized. For the in between, the market at Ruby’s Inn was incredibly convenient, allowing us to easily grab snacks, drinks, and anything else we needed to enjoy from the comfort of our rooms and on the go.

The 40th annual Bryce Canyon Winter Festival
The Winter Fest activities were a huge hit with our family and everyone at the festival. The festive atmosphere was contagious, making it easy to meet other families and fostering a wonderful sense of community. There was always something fun happening! We bundled up for a telescope stargazing event — Bryce Canyon National Park’s International Dark Sky designation made it a truly special experience. We also enjoyed the creative opportunities of cookie decorating, watercolor and other art events. The cozy fun of family movie nights and a fantastic evening of country dancing, complete with cake and ice cream to celebrate the festival’s 40th anniversary was the perfect way to round out the Winter Festival!

If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable family vacation, we highly recommend visiting Bryce Canyon during the winter, and especially during the Bryce Canyon Winter Festival. The combination of stunning scenery, fun activities, and magical community atmosphere makes it an experience you won’t soon forget. We’re already counting down the days until we can return!
